NANCY BOWER (MAIDRID, an ambitious and plucky young Amazon) Nancy was last seen with hot-x buns in STAR WARS (Dark Room), attacked by gulls as Melanie D in THE BIRDS (Foul Play) and saying yes to drugs as Stacy Keach's daughter in the indie, IMBUED (dir Rob Nilsson). MAIDRID'S BOW will be her last show before moving to L.A.
STEFIN COLLINS (PRAXIS, the owl and TURSUS, chief Steward of the Smelters and MELDA, the midwife) was recently seen in the 2009 BOA Festival as Beelzebub. Other favorite roles include: (Otto) The Food Chain, (Erronius) A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, (Stephen) Drowning, & (Sam Greenblatt), a reanimated dead guy, in KML’s The Cheever Tapes. MONIQUE GONSALVES (PHILANDRIA, the mouse and QUEEN JOKONDA) Monique Gonsalves is thrilled to debut her tail shake in her premier performance for Wily West Productions. A proud alumni of California State University Fullerton, she holds her BA in Theatre Arts with an Emphasis in Acting. She recently took the stage as a compulsive smoker in the female version of "The Odd Couple" with The Town Hall Theatre Company in Lafayette. Or you may have seen her Kabuki style Marilyn Monroe as The Lady in Waiting in "The Unspeakable Act" at The Garage.
RYAN HAYES (FARS, a nice young Smelter) Ryan has been active in both theater and film in San Francisco for over ten years. Last seen on stage as the monk Ambrosio in The Monk, Ryan has also perfomed as Gertrude in Hamlet, Biron in Love's Labour's Lost, and George in Troijka- all No Nude Men productions. With Elastic Future he starred in the premiere of Beautiful as Princess Marie and as Iktheus in The Greek Play. Local musicals include HEN!!, Young Zombies in Love, and The Medium. Recently Ryan, once again, played an evil priest in the film Virgin of the Candles which should be released soon.
JASON JEREMY (THE MIGHTY MAGORA, priestess of the Amazons and NELLIUS Fars' father) Jason got his start doing radio theatre as a kid, corrupted by such lovable kooks as the Firesign Theatre troup and NPR's Dr. Science. He has recently appeared in SHEHEREZADE for the Playwrights' Center of San Francisco, as Matthew in PRIVATE EYES (Spare Stage), and Adolf Sutro and Pingta in THE WIDOW WEST for Wily West Productions.
NATE LEVINE (AVAR Far's best friend and ARRAS the dark Amazon Knight) Nate returns to Wily West Productions after having performed the lead role of Billy/Emma in THE WIDOW WEST. He has appeared in numerous Bay Area productions with the New Conservatory Theatre and in SHEHEREZADE for the Playwrights' Center of San Francisco. Nate is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon, with a degree in theatre. Nate would like to thank his family and friends for all their support.
GWYNETH RICHARDS (GENERAL LUKORA of the Amazon Army and TRESTE the great bow maker.) Most recently appeared in her one-woman show “Born Again through Shakespeare!” as part of the Best of the Women on the Way Festival. Other fondly remembered performances include Eleanor of Aquitaine (The Lion in Winter), Emily Dickinson (The Belle of Amherst), and Melanie Garth (Quartermaine's Terms), for which she received a Bay Area Critics' Circle Award. She has written: Shakespeare’s Women and The Hollow Crown: Shakespeare and Monarchy. Gwyneth has taught at A.C.T., California Shakespeare Theatre, and The College of Marin and been the dramaturg or Shakespeare acting coach for productions at A.C.T., Marin Academy, Shakespeare at Stinson, Cutting Ball Theatre, as well as a featured instructor for Theatre Bay Area. Her innovative “Shakespeare without Tears” classes have been popular with actors since 1986. Gwyneth is represented by JE Talent.
CELESTE RUSSI (ANTIOS an Amazon housewife and DRUNA the sly fox.)
Originally from N.J. Celeste is a recent transplant to the Bay Area from the L.A. suburb of Thousand Oaks, where she performed in and directed many plays and musicals. This marks her 6th show in the Bay Area. Some of her recent stage credits: Sleeping Beauty or Coma/Vampire Lesbians of Sodom (Stage-Werx, SF), Defying Gravity, How To Succeed in Business…(Hillbarn Theatre), Tony n' Tina's Wedding (N.Y.and S.F. productions) and Peter and the Pirate (Pier 39); Film and TV credits: Love Is All There Is (by Renee Taylor and Joe Bologna) and Beautician and the Beast (by Todd Graff starring Fran Drescher); ER and numerous commercials. Celeste sends her love to the man and the kid.
LINDA WANG (VORA sister of Maidrid) Linda Wang last graced the stage with a growing mole in the production of UNSPEAKABLE ACTS at The Garage. She has performed several shows with Theatre Rhinoceros including the the world premiere of ISHI: THE LAST YAHI, written and directed by John Fisher as well as MOBY DICK the Musical which she co-choreographed. She holds a B.A from UCLA's School of Film, Television and Theatre where she was chosen to perform in the Francis Ford Coppola one acts. Linda has also studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Music video credits include Puff Daddy's "It's all about the Benjamins" and Bloodhound Gang's "Why is Everybody Picking On Me?" She is a proud member of Theatre Bay Area and is thankful to you the audience for supporting live theatre.
